The tranquil breeze that blows in as a harbinger of joy,
The smoke that billows from the distant chimney up into the sky;
Reminds me of the losses that cost me my peace of mind,
And the peerless gains that I would time and again rewind.
There were sleepless nights when I stared blankly at the dark sky
And yet those tiny twinkling stars silently stimulated me to try.
Hey! But here flicker some vague memories of the past
What about the New Year resolutions that I had vowed last?
Life is a simple addition where you carry forward all your unrealized dreams,
The unaccomplished commitments, unfulfilled promises and the unpunished sins.
This last day of the year is reminiscent of every bygone day,
And so folks, I just dropped in with all my heart to say
Be good, be kind, be humble, be wise, be human and be sane
May all your efforts get crowned with success and none goes in vain!
The people around the world hope and so I hope too,
The coming year will be great for all, and I wish it becomes true!
